NUOVO SINGOLO ENTRO LA FINE DEL 2008.

Da fonti molto vicine ai Kings of Banality, sembra essere giunto il momento per ascoltare le nuove opere del gruppo che ha raggiunto il successo grazie ai primi due singoli Dead Killers e Today. Le registrazioni si tengono nel Narrowest Path Studio, con produzione diretta da parte del songwriter e vocalist Andrew Star (che aveva tentato una fuga solista finita male...ricordiamo il flop dell'album The Narrowest Path EP).

Ritardi nella registrazione sembrano esser dovuti al momentaneo abbandono della band da parte dell'ingegnere del suono e backing vocalist, impegnato in attività parallela (gruppo Metal croato Khra Tsibha). L'interessato, raggiunto al telefono dalla nostra redazione, ci ha informato che lavorerà per 15 giorni con i Kings of Banality e 15 giorni con i Khra Tsibha. Risulta inevitabile che le contaminazioni si ritroveranno nelle nuove opere dei Kings!

Molto presto i Kings si riuniranno per diffondere al mondo la loro nuova immagine: come potete notare le foto non sono molto recenti: stanno nascondendo qualcosa? Un nuovo membro? Il ritorno di vecchie conoscenze? Da fonti più che attendibili sembra essere ormai certa la partecipazione della Call Center Girl in qualità di ingegnere del suono, portarice di nuove sonorità dal Nord...

Tra le tracce che abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di ascoltare in anteprima, citiamo "Call-Center Girl", "Live&Learn" e "As long As we're in This Together" - possibili B-sides.

Segnalo l'uscita del nuovo singolo di Dave Gahan (frontman dei Depeche Mode), intitolato Kingdom: sonorità che si avvicinano molto di più al sound dei Depeche Mode, molto più elettronica rispetto al debutto solista del 2003 (Paper Monsters). Questo singolo anticipa l'uscita dell'album Hourglass previsto per ottobre 2007. Prodotto e scritto dallo stesso Gahan, con la collaborazione di Christian Eigner (il batterista dei Depeche Mode) e Andrew Philpott (Live Sound Producer dei Depeche Mode), il secondo album del cantante inglese non sarà probabilmente accompagnato da un Tour, in quanto per l'inizio del 2008 è già in previsione la registrazione del nuovo album dei Depeche Mode, il cui ultimo album Playing the Angel risale al 2005 (il relativo Touring the Angel ha visto suonare la band di fronte a non meno di 1 milione e mezzo di accaniti fans, lungo le oltre 50 tappe del tour mondiale).

E i cioccolatini a cioccolato bianco, ripieni di frutti di bosco liofilizzati (anche quelli fizzicosi)??? Bè questi ultimi a me non piacciono (preferisco le caramelle...), ma chiedete a Giorgio dove sono finiti i cioccolatini della Marks & Spencer.

Ovviamente questo po-po' di succo d'arancia, spremuta all'istante

L'influenza.

Quando qualsiasi medicinale sembra essere inutile, prova a dormire...

Ti sveglierai con quel piacevole ruscello di saliva che fuoriesce dalla bocca (visto che il naso è fuoriuso!).

Ti sveglierai con quel piacevole dolorino alla gola...

E quel buon catarro, che ti fa venire da vomitare ogni volta, ma proprio per questo ogni volta lo ingoierai...

E quel muco, che è ormai acqua...non c'è più nemmeno il piacere di vedere una caccola nel fazzolettino di carta, che ormai ha usurato il tuo nasino, e il tuo labbro superiore divenuto rosso e gonfio come quello di Alba Parietti (non parliamo poi se ti devi fare la barba...).

Insomma, che palle, le lacrime che ti scendono dagli occhi per il raffreddore!

Che palle i dolori agli addominali (inesistenti...) che si indolenziscono a forza di tossire...

Almeno non hai voglia di fumare...

Che palle l'aria fredda che ti fa sentire un formicolio al naso, e poi l'aria calda che provoca lo scioglimenti del mucciolo malefico...

E gli starnuti, che con se portano di tutto (soprattutto catarro, quello marroncino...).
